Strolling through the Shinsegae department store, I found a food garden on the 10th floor where 15 restaurants vie for clients. As lunchtime rolled around, this one seemed attractive and welcoming.
For just a few wons, you get a little feast of sushi, barbecue and most importantly the perpetual rain of vegetables and roots that makes Korean cuisine a veritable fountain of youth. I have rarely encountered on this earth a cuisine so oriented toward health and well-being. Of course, the sushi wasn’t terrific, but everything had a nice vibe about it. That’s it, I’m seeing the light, all the more so tonight at dinner with some real aficionados…
